Sponsorship Programs


Child Sponsorship

This program is to help the children that attend MSCS. It is a holistic program which means that we are helping children mentally, emotionally, socially, economically, physically and spiritually.

Holistic Ministry:

Educationally & Economically

Sponsoring a child helps a child in Magdalena to attend school and pay for their curriculum which helps them educationally and economically.

Physically

We recently began a new nutrition program to help our children physically. This will help them to get important nutrition in their bodies on a regular basis.

Mentally

The curriculum challenges the students mentally as they learn and gain knowledge.

Socially

They are able to grow socially through their interaction with other students and their teachers as they learn about sharing, friendship, respect, and are shown the love of Christ.

Spiritually

Every school day begins with prayer. Students learn about God in many of their subjects and in their actual bible classes. They are being taught about how much God loves them and how much he desires to have a relationship with each and every one of them.

Emotionally

Children are provided support, counsel, and encouragement when they are struggling. Children are encouraged to cultivate friendships, to persevere even when a situation or relationship is hard, and they are taught to value people.

Child sponsorship is $30 per month.

Teacher Sponsorship

We currently have nine teachers employed at MSCS. Our Guatemalan missionaries also teach and help at the school. The teachers at MSCS have large classroom sizes, often with multiple grades. They teach and guide the students to the best of their abilities. You can see their love for their students whenever you visit one of their classrooms.
The minimum wage in Guatemala for one month is $425. We are struggling to pay our teachers less than half of that. Our goal is to be able to pay each of our teachers minimum wage. All of our teachers are members of the local community. Many of our teachers have families, are attending university, or have other responsibilities. We want to be able to support them and encourage them.
Teacher Sponsorship is a monthly gift of any amount.

Missionary Sponsorship

This program helps us to support our missionaries abroad in Guatemala and stateside. Our Guatemalan missionaries serve with Mount Sinai Evangelical Mission Church and Mount Sinai Christian School. They minister to children, families, and the people of Magdalena, and the surrounding communities. The stateside missionary serves TOLM as the Administrator and Sponsorship Coordinator, overseeing all stateside needs, paperwork, media, etc. Supporting TOLM helps support our missionaries and pay for their living expenses as they continue to serve as God has called them.
Missionary Sponsorship is a monthly gift of any amount.
